November 5, 2024I have been wearing Brooks for many years, often purchasing two pairs at one time. The Glycerin 20 has many issues, firstly the sizing is wrong, I went up a size from my normal as the previous felt too small constricting my toes and causing toe nail pain, also the fabric on top of the toe quickly made a hole from the toenail. The tongue is annoying and seems to dig into the ankle, and the back created blisters and scaring on the back ankle. The support itself is less than all previous glycerin versions which i have worn for years. I decided to go up a size thinking this might fix some of the problems, but unfortunately not. The shoe is now too large and yet the front is still very narrow. I have now given away 2 brand new pairs of Glycerin shoes. As I have only worn Brooks for well over 15 years I am now extremely disappointed by what appears to be a change in quality, support and sizing. I have wasted my money with the last two purchases and I am now reluctant to buy another pair of Brooks shoes in the future. Keep your return receipts when buying these shoes, as Brooks shoes are no longer the quality of the past and sizing is a problem. I gave two pairs away because I couldnt wear them from the pain they caused and upsizing didnt help because the shoe is still narrow. Disappointed and a big waste of money.
Fantastic running shoes, with some drawbacks

October 26, 2024These shoes have lots of cushion but still have a nice spring/ push off. And they are very lightweight in comparison to other cushioned running shoes I have had. The fit is fantastic! The toe box is a little wider than most. They are just so comfortable! Just what my aging knees need for running. I had a previous version of the Glycerin shoes and they still haven't fixed how hot they are. These will be reserved for cold weather running only. The style/colors are VERY ugly honestly. Sadly, most women's running shoes are. Dear Brooks - why is this? I can overlook this for the comfort and support they give. I will probably move on to something else for my next pair.
Use to love Brooks Glycerin 20 but…

January 7, 2024Use to love the Brooks Glycerin 20 shoes but something has changed. During the past 2-3 years I have only worn Brooks Glycerin 20. Iam a daily walker and absolutely loved these shoes. Bought a new pair in July to replace a worn out pair. No issues. Then Glycerin 20 went on sale at Fleet Feet so bought an additional 3 pairs on line due to better color selection and a 4th pair at the store. NONE of them fit my right foot correctly. Now my right foot has not changed but something with these shoes has. The arch support in the right shoe partially hits my foot arch with the rest of it hits my heal. It is extremely uncomfortable as it feels like I have a large rock in my shoe. It causes my foot to throb and cramp. I kept returning these shoes to Fleet Feet and ordering another color, thinking it might just be a fluke with that one pair…but alas it was not. The subsequent shoes that I purchased have had the same flaw and those have been returned. Iam now trying the Brooks Ghost Max but am not a fan. Shortly I will try the new Glycerin 21 model…perhaps the pattern for the right shoe has been corrected as I LOVE the Glycerin model but at this point unless something changes, I will no longer be able to enjoy them.
Not happy!!

October 21, 2024I've been a supporter and lover of Brooks for over 30 yrs.
Have bought and worn them and only them.
These latest ones are the worst yet. All I'll say is I'm so glad they were on sale and I didn't pay full price. So not worth the money anymore. Have no weight to them and feel cheap. All arch support and "inbuilt rollbar" no longer exsist. The in built roll bar was why I went to Brooks in the 1st place as I had an issue with rolling in.
Even my podiatrist would research which Brooks to prescribe for me as he had a sponsorship with Asics and would usually only prescribe those.
So in finishing no I would not recommend these shoes. They are cheap and not worth the money when you can buy similar for less and the look, feel and do the same.
